New Sternstunden DVD and Blu-ray released
October 2011 - After two years of filming the new Sternstunden DVD "Landschaften im Rhythmus des Kosmos" has been released. Beside 17 astronomical timelapse shots the disc is containing a making-of section and a booklet with an editorial note by Ranga Yogeshwar. The blu-ray-version is providing exceptional image details.
Ars Electronica presents TWAN-Exhibition
October 2011 - The Ars Electronica Center in Linz has launched the first completely digital exhibition of the TWAN photographer network. Numerous screens are displaying astronomical landscape shots in formats up to 16x9 meters. Babak Tafreshi, Gernot Meiser, David Malin, Tamas Ladani and Bernd Pröschold were among the protagonists of the opening ceremony.
Calendar "Sternenhimmel 2012"
July 2011 - The calendar "Sternenhimmel 2012" is featuring 12 stunning photographs of nocturnal landscapes. It measures 30x42cm and is published by Weitsicht-Verlag. To order please click here.
Workshop at Kölner Filmhaus
November 2010 - On November 20, Bernd Pröschold will give unusual insight into his work as timelapse photographer. The event is split into a slide show, technical instructions and a practical part. Please register at the Kölner Filmhaus.
Slide Show
August 2010 - Starting from now the Sternstunden can be booked as slide show. Bernd Pröschold is presenting a selection of his most stunning shots. The spectators can lern about astronomical and scenic phenomena and listen to funny stories from the shooting. Duration of the lecture: ca. 90 min.
Successful expedition to Chile
June 2010 - With a large crop of pictures Bernd Pröschold returned from Lauca National Park in Chile (Starry Sky, shots 22-24). Amongst others he captured a timelapse sequence of the famous twin volcanoes Prinacota and Pomerape. Three ascensions, each lasting several hours, have been required to bring up all the photographic and camping equipment to the shooting location in an altitude of 5,000m above sea level.
Coverage in "Quarks & Co" telecast
March 2010 - How to get above the clouds without using an aircraft? Winternights in the Bavarian Alps offer a good opportunity. A Quarks & Co camera team joined Pröschold´s work above an ocean of high fog. The coverage will be on air on March 23rd from 21:00 on WDR.

Visiting Mount Sonnblick
October 2009 - Because of its isolated location in the Hohe Tauern range the starry sky over Mount Sonnblick is exceptionally dark. To realize his plans, Pröschold got a permission to use the material lift.After a vain effort in spring, he managed a successful shot this time (Starry Sky, film 19).
Mystery object in Norwegian timelapse
September 2009 - Pröschold´s newest shot from the Ringebu-Fjell in Norway shows an inexplicable object. After analysing animation and detail cutout experts don´t have a plausible explanation for theappearance. Satellites are usually not displayed piont-shaped but as a trace.
Large screen projection in the heart of Cologne
March 2009 - From March 27th until April 14th Globetrotter will present Bernd Pröschold′s Mobile Planetarium. A 4.5m² screen and a high resolution projector allow the observer to plunge into cosmic dimensions.
With Swiss Television at the Matterhorn
March 2009 - For the TWAN project Pröschold took a timelapse movie of the winter Milky Way and the moonrise over the famous Mount Matterhorn. The Swiss Television will cover his journey on March 12th in the broadcast Einstein.
DVD
February 2009 - Fresh from the press comes Pröscholds new DVD "Sternstunden - Der Nachthimmel im Zeitraffer". For 61 minutes the viewer can plunge into cosmic dimensions accompanied by classical music. With 8-page booklet.

January 2009 - On January 5th the WDR broadcast "Hier und Heute" explicitly featured the "aurora hunter" Bernd Pröschold.
Lange Nacht der Museen
November 2008 - On November 3rd Bernd Pröschold will present his work on the occasion of the "Lange Nacht der Museen" (Long Museum Night) in Cologne. Several hundred visitors are expected.
Back from Namibia
November 2008 - In order to be able to work under southern stars, Pröschold has travelled to Namibia. The clips taken there show motivs like the zodiacal light, the Magellanic Clouds and the fascinating landscape of the NamibRand Nature Reserve (Starry sky, clips 11-14).
TV
September 2008 - On September 5th 2008 Nano (3-Sat, 18:30) will feature Bernd Pröschold´s latest journey to Norway.
Specialised press
September 2008 - NaturFoto is a leading professional interest magazine for nature photography. In the August issue Pröschold is writing about the "Discovery of the night".
Cinema
September 2008 - Finally digitalisation is reaching the cinemas. The new technique is changing movie theatres into multimedia venues. From October 3rd an interdisciplinary team is testing the new opportunities in the Cine Live project, hosted by the Cologne Cinedom. Sternstunden is joining the attempt.
Year of Astronomy
August 2008 - The work of Bernd Pröschold has been chosen for the TWAN project (The World at Night). TWAN is an official project of the UNESCO´s International Year of Astronomy 2009. The works of the TWAN-photographers show the night sky above the World Heritage Sites and above the most fascinating landscapes of earth. The project staff is planning a couple of publications (print, TV, DVD, internet) and international exhibitions.
